Attention advanced practice nurses..... a workshop designed with you in mind
June 22 and/or June 23, 2018 Minor Procedures for NPs
This workshop is specifically designed for advanced practice nurses. It provides an unusual, hands-on opportunity to learn the skills needed to manage frequently encountered primary care (and Urgent Care / Fast Track) problems such as: digital block, abscess I & D, handling ingrown toenails including nail removal, paronychia management, subungual hematoma release and arthrocentesis. You will have the opportunity to practice each of the skills on simulation models. Appropriate antibiotic prescriptions for selected procedures will be reviewed. Acquiring these advanced practice competences enhances your repertoire and increases you marketability. Enrollment is limited in order to optimize the learning experience.
