NPCP Membership Renewal Time

Posted over 13 years ago by Lori Norris

Dear Colleague,

It is time to renew your membership with the Nurse Practitioners of Central Pennsylvania. Your registration and dues will now be done through the Coalition website for both the Coalition and your region. Your prompt response saves the organization money by eliminating the need for a reminder letter after the August deadline.

Membership affords you the following opportunities:
  • Networking with other advanced practice nurses from the mid-state at our dinner meetings, lobby days and statewide conferences,

  • Keeping abreast of current legislative issues affecting your practice,

  • Receiving continuing education credits on a variety of timely clinical issues

  • Affiliate membership in the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners,

  • Inclusion in the 2010-2011 membership directory, an excellent resource for staying connected with the over 175 advanced practice nurses who are currently members of the Nurse Practitioners of Central Pennsylvania,

  • Quarterly newsletters from the Coalition regarding legislative and practice news you need to know,

  • Scholarship monies available to attend conferences.

Much of the information requested on the enclosed application is used by the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners to maintain a statewide database. The total amount due this year is $135. NPCP receives $35 of the total amount as our membership dues. This amount has not changed from the previous membership year. The remaining $100 goes directly to the Coalition to support their efforts to improve the practice climate for nurse practitioners in Pennsylvania. This increase is necessary so that the Coalition can continue in their efforts to ensure that we are able to fully practice according to the State Board of Nursing. These efforts include the recent hiring of an Executive Director and the continued hard work of our Lobbyist. If you haven’t already done so, please visit our website at www.npcp.org for information regarding our organization and job opportunities in the mid-state.

Thank you for your continued membership in the Nurse Practitioners of Central Pennsylvania. Please feel free to contact me at the email address listed above. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly and answer any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Annette Zampelli, MSN, CRNP

President

Nurse Practitioners of Central Pennsylvania
