PNP Student Seeking a Primary Pediatric Clinical Site for the Spring
Posted almost 9 years ago by Lori Norris
My name is Kelly Lynch. I am a student at Rush University, completing their Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/DNP program. I live in Palmyra, and I work as an RN at Hershey Medical Center in the Pediatric Specialties Clinic. The majority of my experience as an RN over the past 15 years has been in pediatrics (PICU, ED, and Peds Specialties).
I will be starting my clinical rotations very soon (January 2017), and I am in need of a preceptor. My first rotation runs January through April 2017, and I will need to obtain about 6 hours per week that first semester. These hours may be completed with a nurse practitioner, physician, or physician's assistant. As this is a primary pediatrics program, the preference is to select a primary pediatrics clinical site, however, it is permissible to complete these hours at a family practice with a large pediatric population. My hours are flexible and I am willing to travel for this clinical rotation.
I had previously secured a preceptor at a local pediatrician's office; unfortunately, the NP has just resigned from her position and the site will no longer be able to accommodate my clinical rotation. I would really appreciate any help or advice you could offer.
I am happy to provide references and additional information. I can be reached at kelandpat@yahoo.com or (717)364-6172. I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you for your consideration,
